Almost 20 years ago, when freight trains still flew by on these tracks, my dad and I would stack any coins we could find on the rails to get squished into indistinguishable metal. It was so much fun.
I also remember putting a tooney on the rails only to be blown away when I realized I actually separated the centre from the outside… I think I still have it in a box somewhere.
ALSO… when we discovered stacking coins on top of each other would meld them together… that was quite an exciting experience.
I miss those days of childhood wonder, when 5 hours of entertainment could come from chasing butterflies and running around in the forest. Now I just get mad when I lose a game on my iPhone.
Times sure have changed.
